This is for everybody who thinks that where ur from determines who u will become. Don't think that just because ur from "the hood" that u have to have the "hood mentality". U know...hustle by any means necessary....get it how u live...and all that that implies. I know for a fact that the path you choose is YOUR choice. You don't have to hustle....ur money doesn't always have to come from the streets. I mean I don't come from the best neighborhoods and yes the opportunity to do the wrong thing has arisen, But I have chosen not to live that "life" I've chosen to see past that whole "this is all we can do" mind set. I'm not gonna blame n e body for my situation....I'm not gonna say that because of my skin color I have to work harder than some girl named Becca. Yes as black people we don't always have the upper hand in this world, but its up to us to make it better for the generations after us. Its up to us to make it easier for our kids and grandkids. Sometimes its hard to do the right thing but in the end its the person who takes the road less traveled that will triumph. The easy way isn't always the best way ya know...N e thing worth having is worth working hard for.
I mean personally, I have more respect for the dude thats broke and tryna make it through school than i do for the dude with 26's on his Escalade and got the money by supporting the habits of some kids' mother who let an addiction take her away from them.
So just take what i said and think about it
I mean if u choose to live a "get it how u live" life then more power 2 ya
But if ur one of the few that takes the scenic route to gettin were u need to be in life then u have my respect! And thats from the heart
